Soconusco is a region in the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico, near the border with Guatemala. Here, rich volcanic soil makes for ideal harvesting conditions. But it was not until the late 19th century that coffee production began in this region. For thousands of years prior, the major export of Soconusco was cacao.

Soft on the palate with hints of caramel and vanilla reminiscent of a Nilla wafer.
